  • Take in views across world-famous fjords in the heart of the West Norwegian Fjords UNESCO World Heritage site

  • Drive one of Norway’s narrowest valleys, whose scenic beauty is matched by its fascinating past

  • Visit Øye and Urke, two of the most picturesque villages in the Sunnmøre Alps

Our trip to some of Norway’s most iconic sights starts with a short sightseeing tour of Ålesund’s renowned Art Nouveau architecture. Then, we hop on the ferry across Storfjorden (one of Norway’s longest fjords, it branches off into the world-famous Geirangerfjord), and head inland to drive through beautiful valleys surrounded by soaring mountain peaks.

We emerge in the small village of Sykkylven, at the entrance to Storfjorden, before crossing Stranda Mountain. After lunch, we follow the valley to the Ljøen viewpoint for unforgettable views into Geirangerfjord before continuing to Hellesylt. Take your time appreciating the fairy tale-worthy beauty of these sparkling fjords surrounded by rugged mountains and tumbling waterfalls.

Next, we follow wild Norangsdalen, one of the narrowest valleys in Norway and rich in both natural spectacles and history, to the village of Øye, at the tip of Norangsfjord. Our tour ends in the village of Urke, where the scenic Sunnmøre Alps meet the mouth of Norangsfjord. Enjoy some time exploring the village before boarding our ship.
