  • See the coast of charming fishing village of Svolvær aboard a two-person kayak

  • Learn about the area’s nature, history, and culture from an expert local guide

  • Enjoy time afterwards to look around on foot and perhaps visit the famous peninsula football pitch

This excursion starts just a short stroll from where our ship docks in the town of Svolvær, the beautiful capital of the Lofoten islands. No previous kayaking experience is required to enjoy this adventure, but it suits those who are active and in good physical health.

After meeting your guide, you’ll begin with a safety briefing on the dos and don’ts of kayaking before suiting up with life vests and pairing off to board stable tandem kayaks.

This peaceful, two-hour kayaking trip takes in the natural beauty for which the Lofoten archipelago is so famous. As you paddle, look out for the famous rorbu (red fishing huts) that dot the waterside – a true Lofoten icon. As you go, your guide will share stories about the area’s history, culture, and wildlife.
