Newly refurbished in 2023, MS Trollfjord reawakens a romantic, golden age of travel. The flagship of our Signature voyages, it takes its name from a small but spectacular fjord in the Vesterålen archipelago, with a décor that reflects the beauty of the coastline it sails.
With a diverse programme of lectures and activities, outstanding facilities, regular voyage recaps, and an indulgent 130-year anniversary dinner, there’s never a dull moment during your time on board.

Ask them about the wildlife, ports, points of interest, and heritage you might encounter throughout your voyage. They can help you pick out and book your perfect excursion, too.
Day-to-day life
Each day’s entertainment programme is guided by a different theme based on the destination ahead. On The North Cape Line, you can dive into lectures about Norway’s maritime history as we approach the country’s oldest lighthouse at Kristiansand. Or learn more about the abundant birdlife that calls Bjørnøya home as we make our way towards Svalbard.
In between ports, you can be as active as you choose. Expect expert-led food tastings and thought-provoking presentations by our Coastal Experience Team that you can watch in person or livestream from the comfort of your cabin.
Regular photography workshops reveal tips for shooting the perfect image, from capturing the Northern Lights to zooming in on polar wildlife. When you feel confident, you can hire camera equipment on board and practise what you learnt on your next onshore excursion.
But if you’d rather simply watch the astounding scenery roll by, that’s fine too. Relax in the panoramic sauna or take a seat with a glass of our exclusive aquavit next to the floor-to-ceiling windows of the bar.
Your culinary experience
On MS Trollfjord, your food and drink experience goes well beyond dining in the three onboard restaurants. Our onboard local food tastings offer a fascinating opportunity to learn more about the farms, fisheries, butchers, and bakers based up and down the Norwegian coast.
Whether you want to sip Norwegian wine with a local sommelier or sample shrimp caught fresh from the sea, the flavour innovations and producers of the Norwegian coast play an integral role in immersing you in your magnificent surroundings.
Visiting old friends and new
Nobody knows this coastline like us. And these two new, curated routes visit the places we believe best showcase the iconic flavours, adventures, and pristine beauty of Norway’s coast. We’re excited to show you ports that are brand new to our ships, call in on places we haven’t seen for many years, and warmly introduce you to some of our enduring favourites.
And, with an average of six hours in port, there’s plenty of time to get to know each destination.
Compelling onshore activities
In many cases, those Coastal Experience Team members sharing their spellbinding stories on board will be the same people taking you hiking and snowshoeing on shore. At other times, local guides and experts will lead the way, giving you a unique insight into their worlds.
We also travel with a stock of outdoors equipment, such as fishing gear, snowshoes, and traditional skis, for use in shore activities led by the Coastal Experience Team. And if you'd rather explore by yourself, don't forget to ask the Team for their recommendations on the best things to do in Svalbard and all along the Norwegian coast.
Brand-new excursions
From dog sledding in Svalbard to sea eagle safaris in Vesterålen, we have worked closely with local activity providers to create an exciting programme of new and exclusive excursions. With around 50 to choose from and an average of three excursions in each port, there’s something for all interests and activity levels.

How to book an excursion
It’s easy to book excursions on MS Trollfjord. We recommend doing so as early as possible, as places are limited on some excursions.
Pre-book online when you book your voyage, email us, or add them to your trip via our call centre. It’s easy to book through your Coastal Experience Team when you’re sailing, too.
