  • Meet the local guide for an introduction to dog sledding

  • Drive the sled yourself as a musher or enjoy the scenery as a passenger

  • Spend time playing with adorable husky puppies

From the ship, we’ll travel to the dog yards a 30-minute drive away. There, you’ll meet a local guide and listen to an introduction to dog sledding. The guide will then harness the dogs so the real fun can begin. You’ll share a specially-made wheeled sled with two other guests, and eight eager huskies will run in front, pulling you along.

The guide will drive ahead, leading the pack with his own team of dogs. You’ll have the exciting opportunity to spend some time driving your sled yourself, but you can also choose to simply sit back and enjoy the scenery as a passenger. You can decide between you in your cart who takes the reins, as one of you always needs to be in control.

After about an hour and a half of driving, you’ll have a chance to meet the puppies back at the dog yards. The excited squeals of the husky pups are sure to melt your heart. Warm up inside with a hot drink, and have a chat with your local guide before you rejoin the ship.
