What’s the difference between this tour and a Hurtigruten cruise-only voyage?
This tour combines a Hurtigruten Signature cruise with a fully guided land journey through Arctic Finland. You’ll experience the Northern Lights by land and sea, with stays in Lapland, a scenic train journey, and excursions like husky safaris and an icebreaker cruise.
Is this a guided tour?
Yes, this is a partially guided tour. A dedicated English-speaking Tour Manager will travel with you throughout the land portion of the journey. They’ll ensure everything runs smoothly and provide insights into the destinations you visit.
On board your Hurtigruten cruise, you’ll be part of the regular sailing with the expert Expedition Team.
What meals are included?
Your Signature cruise is all inclusive, with daily breakfast, lunch and dinner and unlimited beer, wine, spirits and soft drinks.
On land, daily breakfast in your hotels is included as well as some dinners, including your farewell dinner on the final night. Drinks are subject to payment.
Are flights and airport transfers included?
Flights are not included, so you'll need to organise these yourself. Alternatively, opt to add an arrival or departure package during the booking process and we'll take care of everything for you.
All transfers listed in your itinerary – including between hotels, airports and the ship – are included once your tour begins.
What excursions are included?
This tour features a carefully curated collection of Nordic winter experiences. Join a husky sled ride, go aurora hunting by heated sleigh, stand at the border of three countries, and enjoy an icebreaker cruise with the chance to float in the icy Bothnian Bay (selected departures, see below). In Helsinki, you’ll embark a guided city sightseeing tour and visit highlights such as Temppeliaukio Church.
During your Hurtigruten Signature cruise, optional shore excursions can be added at an additional cost.

Is this tour suitable for guests with limited mobility?
Unfortunately, this tour is not recommended for guests who use a wheelchair or have limited mobility. Guests who can manage short walks and climb a few stairs should be able to join most activities comfortably. However, if a wheelchair is required, we would not recommend this particular tour.
What level of accommodation is included?
Your tour includes a 7-night cruise from Tromsø to Oslo in a cabin of your choice. On land, you'll stay in comfortable 4-star hotels and lodges - plus one night in a 5-star hotel in Helsinki.
