Asta Lassesen

One of the longest-serving Executive Managers in Hurtigruten Group, Asta Lassesen has been instrumental in expanding HX’s legacy as the expert in expedition since 1896. Joining Hurtigruten Group in 2007, she ascended to CFO by age 29, making her one of the youngest CFOs in cruising history. In 2020, she assumed the role of CEO at HX. 

Her 14-year tenure includes serving as Chief Commercial Officer and Chief Operating Officer. In collaboration with Hurtigruten Group CEO Daniel Skjeldam, Asta was instrumental in establishing HX as a global leader in mindful adventure. Notably, she spearheaded the launch of the world's first battery hybrid-powered ship and the expansion of HX’s destination portfolio. 

Asta's passions include skiing, hiking, and enjoying sunny holidays with her family. Her favourite HX destinations are the Galápagos Islands, for their unparalleled nature and wildlife, and Greenland, where she loves to interact closely with local communities. 

She holds an MA in Accounting and Finance from Handelshøyskolen (HHN) in Norway.
